Spring Wedding in Fort Langley

Jason and Sonya shared their wedding day with 20 of their closest friends and family. It was an intimate wedding with lots of love, laughter and tears! I was happy to be a part of it. The day started with the official "good luck" rain shower but cleared into a bright and warm spring day.

Focus... snap the picture... then eat!

I had the pleasure of meeting a woman named Kate who has started her own cupcake business called Corporate Cupcakes. I was able to help her out with some photos for her website. She as a unique business in catering towards businesses with her custom labelled cupcakes. Really, super cool! They taste pretty darn good too.

Hockey Fever

Okay, so I know sometimes I am out of the "boys club" with my son and husband. I try, I really try to get into the whole excitment of payoff season. Whoop, whoop! But seriously, am I missing something? How is it possible to think this isn't going a little over the top?

"Let's name her Mustang Lightning"

My son loves the Mustang we drove home from California. He really thinks it's his! Ughh - only another thirteen years buddy! Scary.

A week in Hawaii just isn't enough for a photographer

Travelling is never an option for me, it is a necessity for my survival. Well, maybe that sounds a bit extreme, but it's close to the truth. I spent a beautiful week in Hawaii with my family who are of course the true necessity of my survival. It is always a struggle not to want to stop on the side of the road for hours at a time just to photograph a cool looking rock - hello, family vacation! So here are a few of my favs that I took quickly of the side of the road. No, not really!

The active valcanoe on the big Island was my husbands favourite. He was hoping for lava spouting and oozing from the rocks. Me too!

My beautiful son, Everett, names everything he sees, I can't remember what this guys name was.

These two humpbacks were heading back to Alaska for the summer, they will forever be remembered as Kuako and Tweestoo to us.
I love this photo, I have never seen a whale so close before. Instead of zooming in to get the shot I had to zoom way out. Her eye was closed but you still get a real idea of what they look like.

On the east side of the island it rains over 300 days of the year and this was one of the storms quickly blowing past.

Engagement Photographs at Granville Island

The backdrop was picturesque Granville Island, the weather bright and crisp and the couple was full of energy! Scott and Julie had no idea what they were in for when they decided to have their engagement photos at Granville Island - one of my many favourites in this beautiful city of ours! However, I did warn them with  "You gotta tell me when to stop!"  I wouldn't have blamed them if they did... goose poop, wet grass, huge puclic displays of affection, need I say more!
It is always a dream to photograph two people who are so naturally in love and share true mutual respect of one another. I can't wait to travel to Mexico with them for their beautiful beach wedding this fall!
